Abbeville Christian Academy (ACA) in Abbeville, AL, surpassed their capital campaign goal earlier this year. For the past year or so, ACA was busy working with their donors to achieve what hadn’t been done before for the small school in rural Alabama. Now, they’re busy moving ground on the new addition to their school and an expanded parking lot. The new addition to the school will feature a revamped school entrance, new front offices, and a computer lab. The expanded, and now paved, parking lot, will improve the old lot which was primarily gravel, grass, and dirt. The new parking lot will fix several problems at one: additional parking, no more mud when it rains, and a more attractive appearance overall.
With the help of significant gift matches, leadership gifts, and the hard work of Headmaster Melanie Carlisle, ACA has surpassed their original campaign goal of $1,010,000. Having raised over $1,250,000, they are well on their way toward their Vision Goal of $1,865,000. Go Generals!
Melanie deserves a lot of credit for her leadership. Additionally, her team deserves many thanks for their perseverance and dedication! Finally, without the outstanding guidance of both Sissy Spence (Executive Counsel) and Project Manager Bob Adams, and the hard work of Heather Reynolds doing the reporting, the whole project would have been much more difficult. Great job everyone!
